Catchat (netcat chat)

Some cool communication protocol that can be connected to from MS-DOS, Windows 95 and up, Linux, or a web browser.

Server download

python server

Connecting from Linux

An example connection script (using netcat) is here:

s.sh

Connecting from DOS

You need mtcp, then run nc -target ip port

Code beyond this point was written by ai since I suck :)

Connecting from Windows (95 and up)

nc.exe (run in a terminal) (src, compile on linux with nc.sh)

Connecting from a browser (not mobile, maybe in the future)

Must enter the ip and port of the websocket tcp relay, not the actual python server.

nc.html

Using the client

80x24 or 80x25 terminal size should be used (non-canonical and non-echo as well, which should be present in the above scripts and programs). Enter your username as the first message. Then you can send messages. Type \ or / to scroll up or down, and you MUST press Enter/Return when you wish to enable auto-scrolling again.
